All DUMBA members go through a verification process including:

  • Background check review

Renter Safety

When renting a vehicle from DUMBA:

  • Verify host identity and vehicle ownership before payment
  • Inspect the vehicle thoroughly and document condition with photos
  • Confirm all safety features are functioning (lights, brakes, steering)
  • Check that insurance is valid and active
  • Keep contact information for both host and DUMBA support
  • Report any safety concerns immediately
  • Follow all traffic laws and vehicle maintenance guidelines

Host Safety

As a DUMBA host, we recommend:

  • Meet renters in public, well-lit locations
  • Verify renter identity and contact details
  • Review renter ratings and history
  • Take photos and video evidence of vehicle condition
  • Keep copies of all agreements and documents
  • Verify insurance coverage is active
  • Maintain regular vehicle maintenance and inspections
  • Use DUMBA's dispute resolution for any issues

Vehicle Safety Standards

All vehicles listed on DUMBA must meet these standards:

  • Valid registration and insurance
  • Current safety inspection (where applicable)
  • Functioning lights, brakes, and steering
  • Valid seatbelts and airbags
  • No serious mechanical issues
  • Regular maintenance records available
  • No outstanding safety recalls

Insurance & Coverage

DUMBA offers comprehensive insurance options:

  • Basic Coverage: Theft and total loss protection
  • Damage Coverage: Collision and damage protection
  • Premium Coverage: Full comprehensive coverage with low deductibles
  • All policies include liability coverage
  • 24/7 claims support available

Reporting Safety Concerns

If you encounter any safety concerns:

  • Contact DUMBA support immediately
  • Report the specific incident and user involved
  • Provide any evidence (photos, messages, etc.)
  • Our safety team will investigate within 24 hours
  • Accounts may be suspended pending investigation
  • Serious violations are reported to authorities

Blacklist & Fraud Prevention

DUMBA maintains a global blacklist of users who have:

  • Committed fraud or financial crimes
  • Caused significant damage or injuries
  • Violated rental terms repeatedly
  • Been convicted of serious crimes
  • Engaged in harassment or discrimination

Blacklisted users are prevented from accessing the platform and partners are alerted.

Emergency Support

For emergencies:

  • Vehicle Emergency: Contact the host immediately, then call emergency services if needed
  • Safety Threat: Call local police, then contact DUMBA support
  • Accident: Ensure safety, call police, exchange information with other party, contact DUMBA
  • 24/7 Support: Available at support@dumba.app or emergency hotline

By using DUMBA, you agree to:

  • Operate vehicles safely and legally
  • Follow all traffic laws and regulations
  • Report accidents and damage immediately
  • Maintain vehicle insurance coverage
  • Treat other users with respect
  • Use emergency services when needed
  • Cooperate with DUMBA safety investigations
